Our framework for addressing what’s behind your symptoms, not just managing them.
Created by Ryan McWhorter, MD, IFMCP, it is the foundation of everything we do. Every provider, every plan, and every therapy or supplement we recommend is rooted in this method.
Most patients begin by attending Functional Foundations, our free educational event, to learn more about our method before their first appointment.

What the name means
Salu comes from salus, Latin for health and well-being. Xis represents innovation and forward movement. Together, Saluxis represents where health and safety meet innovation and forward movement.
Functional medicine takes a whole-body approach. Instead of only asking what symptoms you’re experiencing, it asks why they’re happening in the first place, looking at how your hormones, gut, immune system, and metabolism are connected.
The Saluxis Method is how we turn that thinking into a plan. It’s built on four essential parts that work together. You don’t move through them in a straight line, and you don’t graduate from one to the next. They layer, support, and amplify each other throughout your care.
The goal of our initial phase is to identify what may be burdening your system and support your body in releasing it.
Here we recommend specific supplements and diet changes to give your body what it needs to support your daily wellness.
This part focuses on your detox pathways and immune system, supporting your body’s natural ability to regulate itself and protect your nervous system.
Here we work with you on the body-brain connection, using advanced technology-based treatments that support deeper sleep, a calmer nervous system, and a more balanced brain.
Every therapy, supplement, and habit we recommend supports one or more of these four parts. Here’s what that looks like in practice.
From simple steps at home to advanced in-office therapies, each approach has a purpose within the Saluxis Method. What we recommend depends on your needs and where you are in your care.
HOCATT ozone sauna, glutathione and detox IVs, ozone therapy, and grounding
Saluxis Essentials supplements, IV nutrient therapy, red light therapy, and bioidentical hormone therapy
IASIS microcurrent neurofeedback, HUGO PEMF, ozone therapy, and gut and immune healing protocols
The framework stays the same. The tools and level of support are personalized to your needs.
Many health issues have become so common that we’ve started to treat them as expected — something to manage, not question.
But how often something happens has nothing to do with whether it’s healthy. A symptom you share with millions of people is still a signal worth listening to.
Often treated as “just how some women’s bodies are.” In reality, it’s a signal of deeper hormonal and metabolic imbalance — one that can be addressed, not just managed.
Forgetfulness and brain fog get written off as “just aging” or early Alzheimer’s risk. Often, they trace back to inflammation, blood sugar, or gut health — and can be influenced.
Weight gain, fatigue, and blood sugar swings are treated as inevitable with age. They’re usually early signals your metabolism needs support, not just symptoms to live with.
The Saluxis Method looks past what’s become accepted as normal, to understand what’s actually happening in your body — and what can still be changed.
You don’t have to book an appointment to begin. Learn how we think, what we treat, and how the Saluxis Method works — right from your bedroom or living room, on your own time.
See how our method has changed lives, understand the role of supplements and therapies, and decide whether our membership-based care is right for you.

However you begin, every path leads to the same place: a personalized plan, rooted in the Saluxis Method.
Not everyone needs the same level of care. You may want to learn more, add targeted support to what you’re already doing, explore a specific therapy, or work closely with a provider on more complex health concerns.
However you begin, every way of connecting with Alabama Functional Medicine is rooted in the Saluxis Method.
For anyone who wants to better understand their health and start with practical changes.
Functional Foundations is our free virtual event introducing our approach to health, lifestyle, nutrition, supplements, therapies, and care. It’s educational, approachable, and a simple place to begin.
For those looking to build on healthy habits with thoughtfully selected supplements.
For those interested in additional support without committing to membership care.
Many of our in-office therapies are available individually, including HOCATT Ozone Sauna, IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback, EMSELLA, Red Light Therapy, HUGO PEMF, and select IV therapies.
For those who need or want a more comprehensive, personalized approach.
Membership care brings lifestyle, supplementation, testing, therapies, and ongoing provider guidance together into a personalized plan. Options range from focused programs for a season of more comprehensive care to maintenance programs for continued support.
You don’t have to figure it out on your own. Start with Functional Foundations to learn more about our approach, or text (334) 819-8190 if you’re ready to talk with our team. If personalized care is the right next step, we’ll help you schedule your first appointment so your provider can understand your needs and recommend an appropriate path forward.
No. The Saluxis Method isn’t a replacement for your primary care doctor or OB/GYN. It’s what many patients need in addition, especially when symptoms cross too many specialties for one provider to connect.
Not in a straight line. Release, Replenish, Reset, and Rewire layer and support each other throughout your care. Your plan may work on several parts at once, and your provider adjusts the emphasis as your body responds.
No. You can learn with us through Functional Foundations, add Saluxis Essentials supplements, or book many in-office therapies individually without a membership. Membership care is for those who want a comprehensive, provider-guided plan.
